Sure. Look at the color poison ivy turns in the fall, or some sugar maples. Poppies are red red red.
As far as hair color goes, I've never seen anybody with hair color that I would really call RED. Though of course I would use the common tongue and call them "redheads" nevertheless.
Same thing for skin color, for that matter. "Redskins" are brown. "Blacks" are darker brown. "Whites" are pink.
Aren't native americans reddish brown?
Depends on where you are, I suppose. Back in Michigan the Indians were pretty pale, from lack of sun, just like the rest of us. Down in Arizona and Mexico they're quite dark brown.
But sure.
Yes. I would say that most "white" people, when they are neither too suntanned nor too sun-deprived, are the color beige. I'd say that "beige" is the proper word to describe "white" skin color.Would you agree white people are beige? Trying to figure out that color is a mystery.

The "White" race should properly be called the "Beiges", and "Blacks" should properly be called "Browns", if we were going to insist on the correct use of color terms.

I think I missed it....What was your theory?Well it doesn't have to be a shade you like just the color family.
But I think if you'll read through the posts you may be able to see a pattern surfacing so far.
I'd like to get a few more responses til I submit my theory though, so stay tuned!
I'll change the OP so it's easier.
Raven Hair, Ivory Skin - TV TropesYou mean the dead-zombie-flesh colored? That whitish-grey? I guess I'd call that "sickly white".
