I have barely got into studying the origins.

My current beliefs:
Earth is a globe
Old Earth (Used to be a Young Earth)
Divine Creation of Humans around 6000 years ago (Adam and Eve)
Big Bang model may describe how everything in the universe came to be, I just believe God was the intelligent designer (Let there be light)
I deny Mass Evolution (matter turning into clump of cells, to fish, to monkies, then us), But I recognize genetic mutation and adaptation over a mass period of time. Evolution is not a fact, don't know why people assume this.

I believe in an old earth cosmology and a young earth biology. I believe in the Big Bang, God spoke and bang, there it was, it's been expanding ever since. God creates life fully formed and it's been evolving ever since.

Flat(but with height and depth) with a dome over it
Young earth, maybe around 5,000-6,000 years old.
Spoken into existence in 6 literal days, as written in Genesis

This is just based on what I read in the Scripture.

I haven't thought about it too hard (I spend most of my time studying sacramental and covenant theology than anything else), so I'm mostly indifferent. It is hard, though, for me to accept the idea of evolution as you put it. It could very well be right (and my Church doesn't particularly mind which view we hold), but old habits (and opinions) die hard.

Earth as a globe, old earth, Big Bang, etc.

A theory:

Genesis starts off with:

1In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

So that would be the entire cosmos including planet earth. So "how long" our earth was in that state can not be measured using our measurement of time because time did not exist. IF it were able to be measured, it could be millions, billions of "our year measuring system". God of course is not constrained with any kind of time.

However, astrophysicists say
According to research, the universe is approximately (using our time measurement) 13.8 billion years old

The First Day - God creates time for the earth

3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4And seeing that the light was good, God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.”

And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

So, from the 1st day on represents when time began for mankind and at this point is within our time measurement system for the remainder of His creations.

Anyway, reading about time and reading about astrophysics boggles the mind, but it is very interesting. The universe is so impeccably fine tuned, it defies "happen chance".
The Universe: Evidence for Its Fine Tuning

I think mankind would do well to spend more time studying the cosmos rather than being focused on the evolution theory. The answers we look for are in the heavens.

Here a couple places I go to often and find interesting reads about the cosmos and other things.

That was exactly what I believe in how it started. Thanks for sharing.

Earth may or may not be a globe (I'm not sure, the Bible doesn't clearly say)
The entire universe is 6000 years old (yep, not just the Earth)
No evolution or big bang (duh!)

And these are not ''beliefs''! They're biblical facts. Don't trust scientists; they think they know so much that they deny everything that God tries to tell them.

As a Christian I believe God created the universe. I’m not a fundamentalist. I accept evolution including for human lineages . The earth is very very old and the Big Bang is where it all started 4.5 billion years ago. I don’t have any problems accepting mainstream science
