What's with all the "My" challenges?

Hi there,

I'm new here (first post on any forum anywhere actually), but i have been lurking for a while, and I have to say that the challenge threads make for some of the most interesting reading on the site. I think due to both sides knowing what the other side wants them to say, but neither giving in - it certainly makes for some great exchanges!

Funny, I find them to be the cancer of this forum. Utterly boring to read, make your brain rot and ultimately destroy the forum. Of course Split Rock and Nathan Poe are just as guilty as AV for these endless, pointless debates about nothing.
