Pleased that those of you who have needed rain have had it! :)

Warm and pleasant here- not too hot. Could do with rain for the garden!

What was that Sue.... a Rain Dance ?

We had 20.C here until early-afternoon, albeit under cloudy-skies
then the temperature dipped sharply to 14.C
and we noticed this very-quickly
Well, down it came, very light for a few hours
but after a single flash of lightning and a resounding whack of thunder
it has now been raining more-heavily for several hours non-stop

Yes... the gardens needed it !
recent MUD, having dried, like concrete, under the baking-sun

THAT! WAS..... our summer ?????

LOL

Got the rain - thank you Lord!
Hope it's dry tomorrow as a friend is doing a sponsored walk.
Comfortable temperatures.

Oh yes Sue.... I would dearly LOVE some nice weather now

I had hopes of doing some carpentry in the garden this-weekend
The kiln-dried timber I am to use
needs a treatment to help it endure this climate
and this cannot be done with rain in the offing

LOL indeed Dave! It might be!

The thunder and lightning must have just missed us, although it did rain and the plants were well watered. At least it was on a working day for most people :).

I know it's awkward not knowing what the weather is going to do. I'm in the opposite position to you. I have some plant food I need to use, but it needs to be well watered in! I'm trying to judge the weather to get it done before it rains, without having to go out into the rain to do it! LOL! I'll settle for rain in South Cheshire and dry further north, for you and my friend's walk (in Tatton Park I think!).
