It was lovely again today...

I bought another couple of hanging baskets today
and planted one of them with two flowering plants
'that took Mary's eye'

iow: she really liked-them so much, she bought them home

well they are now 'hung' on the rear wall

the remaining basket, will be planted
with the remaining strawberry plants, tomorrow
when then I will hang it over a concrete post
adjacent to the the three I have already installed

They are placed so-high, to help preserve them
from the local slug population..
and 'look-out slugs' you're about to be 'pelleted'

I have also put up one of 'two' gate posts
as we intend to deprive the dogs of the rear grassed area
and lay some flags, to create a patio area
before, regrading and seeding the 'lawn'

some 'cuttings' I took from the Andromeda plant [last year]
have, 'come-on' nicely, and these
will soon be given more room to flourish, in one of the borders

Lovely day today here too!. The garden is looking very pretty.

(I bought beer for my slugs and snails - I heard they like it, and last year I was over-run by snails!)

We, have heard, that this, may be our final term [semester] there
as the authorities that provide facilities, are closing the property
I have 'signed-up' for a photography-class and that begins next month

We peaked at 93 F yesterday (how random! and felt hotter than usual out of the blue like that) and then are dropping back to the low 50's today for a high. I actually still have a dwindling snowbank in the windbreak to the north of our place that hasn't melted entirely yet.

Wow, that does seem hot already for not being here in the South!:o We hit 93 the other day, but this is Texas...It's about 73 now, warm and muggy. Hope it rains. We need it.

We had a bright and sunny day yesterday with temps around 19.C

Today, started out cool and overcast, with temps of 17.C [forecast]

at 4pm the sun is just peeping through today's overcast skies
and temps are 15.C in the shade and 18.C in the 'sun'

I managed to erect the second gatepost to the garden
and just need to be able to get around to fishing the bamboo gate
which will, then, deprive the dogs of access to the rear-garden

After some hot days reaching into the 90's, we are now overcast in the 60's...desperate for rain out here...there is much talk of rationing water...and of course, raising the price we pay for it.
