It's snowing. Just about one inch tonight and two inches this morning. Not too cold and it is so pretty!

cold and frosty for me too. and i expect it to be like that for the next two months. my picnic table has a little over a foot of snow on it.

It's cloudy with a few snowshowers. Temp is 15 ABOVE!

We have had up and down weather the last couple of weeks~ from very cold to very warm. It has ranged from the 20's for a low to high in low 70's. Texas weather in the winter is typically very variable, but it seems like this season, we have had even more frequent "extreme" swings. Today it will probably reach upper 60's. We are enjoying alot of sunshine, but they say we need rain very badly now.

WOW... it came down like it was gonna stay-in all night
but thankfully it eased off after an hour or so
With the floors so wet already it took a while to begin to pitch

It was 72 here in west Texas today.

Not to worry; I'll be paying for it in spades once I finally get settled across the pond. How far away is spring?

Back to seasonable weather for January. High of 24 (f) today. Enough snow to be pretty, without being a problem.

A little respite for us here, with moderating temps perhaps even sneaking above freezing for a few days, and even better yet, calm winds that (hopefully) should desist from torturing the snow to drift and freeze over the roads.

I was listening to the footie last night and heard that in Liverpool it was snowing, without thinking I said 'I hope that they keep it!', well I should have kept those thoughts to myself, It snowed here last night and today it has frozen over! Apart from the small layer of frozen snow it is very cold.

seen, in clearish skies this early-evening

I took some further pics of it
some, with altered gamma-settings
to see, if, any further detail could be acquired
when adding + blue / + red to the exposure and focus settings

I believe the images, beg of the question STAR ? or, PLANET ?

possibly Saturn ?

what zoom do you have on your camera?

The camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ7
and it has 12x zoom in the camera [and Macro]
At 6 Megapixels the camera is able to take pics
at 1 Mb - 5Mbs in size
The larger the filesize the more detailed the file
the 'better-quality' any prints will have

The pics displayed, above, range from 0+ to 12x

once images are in the PC...
I can give an image up to 300x zoom
but at such a high zoom display
the picture quality can be severely affected
