It's been a little cooler here in central Florida. The highs have been more in the high 80s-low 90s rather than the mid-to-high nineties. The overnight lows are the same, though. Rainy out now with thunder rolling in the distance. Typical early evening here, really.

Poured rain from 2:30PM-6:00PM yesterday. Considerably cooler, though clear, this morning.

We watched the shuttle Discovery launch from a dock in the Indian River last night. It was hot, and very humid from earlier showers. I was surprised they let it launch as there was lightning in the distant southern sky. But, they did.

about 89 F today and sunny, low humidity. Nice for late August in Texas.

Cool, for the end of August. A high of 70 F today, and going down to 45 over night!

It's currently 55 degrees, but the sun is brightly shining.
I hope this cold streak doesn't signal a long cold winter.
