  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I never noticed your question about Texas, Reborn. I happened upon this old post by accident. So let me just go ahead and answer it belatedly now. A lot of Texas is ranch land and farms (outside the urban areas obviously) There is some desert as you get into far west Texas almost to El Paso. Texas is a very large state and consequently, spans a lot of different areas for one state. Texas has more dry heat towards the west, more humidity down further south, expecially in the area towards the gulf of Mexico.

We just fetched our washing in off the drying line
because I couldnt-help but notice rain drops falling on the back of my neck
whilst, I was 'screwing' hinges to the garden gate I have made
It isnt too-heavy at the moment, but just the 'threat' of it
was sufficient cause to fetch the clothing in [now dry]

It has been cloudy all-day here, with temp's @ 14.C

Thunder and Lightning does make a show here on occasion
Hail and wind also

Thankfully... it isnt always so-inclement
For the most part, it is so-often DRIZZLING with heavier bouts
sometimes for days and nights at a time

Thankfully also, St.Swithins, doesnt really
stay so-long as his reputation [in or, out of his-season]

Oh, my! How did that happen. Those were words I thought I emailed to my son. Good heavens. What is happening to me? lol I have fresh basil and parsley in my herb garden, and he's a very good cook. I'm visiting him and his family this weekend. I'm so blessed to have a d-i-l who actually wants me to come.
