Temps will be in the mid 20s to low 30s F today, snow is coming. Depending on which weather liar you listen to we may get anywhere from 3 to as much as 11 inches before it's done this evening-- then the thermometer plunges down to single digits F tonight.

At least the abominable cold seems to have left the area. I have a trip up to Rochester, MN to make a delivery Monday morning, and even up thataway the temps are only showing -16F this morning, then rising from there through the weekend. By the time I get there Monday, it won't be too bad.

Snowing 0C (33F) with a windchill factor of -7C (19F). Snow in February on Vancouver Island BC Canada is very rare. It's forecasted to be only a 1cm ( less than 1/2 an inch) of snow by morning.

They report we will get six to nine inches of snow tomarrow.
We need to get bird seed today before the storm.

The 1/2 inch of snow forecasted ended up being closer to 4inches of snow... That's the Island for ya...
Currently it's bright and sunny with snow on the ground, beautiful, -1C (30F) with a windchill of -4C ( 25F).

Wet and very windy....
down in the south west they have it much worse
with early warnings of coastal flooding alerts and more rainfall

The 'Somerset Levels', are already inundated
and with high tides
there is nowhere for the water to go

About a foot of snow and this morning there was a snow-bow in the sky.
First time we had ever seen that. Beautiful! I tried to get a picture thru the kitchen window, it showed a little bit. So cold out that I didnt go on snow drifted porch to try.
Guess the groundhog had it correct.

Another round of proving that shovelry is not yet deceased. We had about 7 inches of snow, and it's blowing. The driveway was drifted in, so-- not going anywhere for a bit. I've cleared the drive, but blowing snow is likely to undo my handywork especially between the buildings. The wind whips in between the houses and forms some steep drifts right by the back door of the house

Right now, about 23F, going down below zero F tonight, blowing and drifting snow.

Yesterday evening it felt very cold and windy, but today seems mild by comparison; in the 40s F. I feel for those of you with cold temps and also people in the SW of England affected by the floods.
