I seem to just miss the worst of it. Yesterday they sent me to Flora, Illinois. Good weather going down, but maybe a bit too warm. Coming back North on Interstate 57, ran into the storms just south of Kankakee. Heavy rain, windy and small hail-- but not very much hail. North of Kankakee I got into torrential rain and heavy gusts of wind, but as I say the worst had already passed. By the time I passed Interstate 80 and got off at 167th Street, the rain was about over too. Reports of funnel clouds in Kendall County, but no confirmed tornadoes.

Right now, 66F under partly sunny skies. The sun and clouds take turns today, highs in the mid 70sF. No bad weather the next couple of days.
