It's rained all day here, but not windy so shopping with a coat and umbrella was okay. Couldn't make out if it was cool or a bit humid - seemed to go from one to another.

We had heavy rain, thunder, and lightning....no strikes,wind damage, or hail (PTL)!

Tomorrow begins 3-4 days of 90 degree + heat and high mumidity

Storming with severe T-storms and possible tornadoes. I hope our friends in OK are alright... 9 have died in Arkansas, two from lightning. I have a feeling this spring could be nasty!

Right now, Villa Park IL: 66F, cloudy/rainy but not presently raining. High today in the mid 80s, rainy. We're under flash-flood watch, and the sump-pump has been cycling pretty regularly.

I'll be driving into it today for sure. I have a pick-up in Chicago, then deliver ASAP in Mt. Sterling, KY. Radar shows heavy weather near Indianapolis, and from there South it looks like heavy going. Thunderstorms, no doubt some of them severe as the day warms up.

A lovely day, sunny with some cloud and a nice breeze. I think it was about 68F.

[but, I didn't check the thermometers, at home]

When I drove Mary to her daughters home @ 2pm
the car interior was so hot, it was like an oven and I opened the roof window
the driver and passenger windows and switched the AC on full
and even that, was blowing hot air, for about five minutes

It got cooler about 5pm as the breeze arrived under dark cloud... but no rain came \o/

It might well have been higher than 68F here too, but there was a cool breeze when I was walking in the hills, for which I was very thankful . I can imagine that it would be very hot in a car though, especially in a city.

Another lovely sunny day here today, but I've been indoors all of it, so I'm not sure how hot it was. Cooler tonight.

Not a bad trip down yesterday, rain towards the end of the trip down, heavy rain near Lexington, KY. Coming back, I ran into a squall line near Lafayette, Indiana. Heavy rain short sight distances, strong gusts of wind, lightning and night-time made it a challenge and a half. No bad wrecks though, and Interstate 65 being what it is I guess that's something gained.

Since getting home, it's been cloudy and rainy all day, this evening several heavy rains have come through. It never got past the mid 70s for a high, right now it's 64F. The sump-pump is earning its keep tonight.

82F / 28C for a high today. The weather man says there will ONLY be scattered thunder storms later in the week, so no rough weather on the agenda for now. Thank you Lord.
