CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Calm before the storm
Sunny, windy, and cold @ 32
Snow storm coming overnight, bringing 12-18 inches through last tomorrow night
Winter's LAST HURRAH before the first day of SPRING (Wednesday) 
*We have gotten substantial snow into MAY....so mother nature is NOT done with us yet

Cold. It's 16F, the high won't make it to freezing the next couple of days.
A trip to Iowa yesterday, not much snow but plenty of wind. US20 was a bit of an adventure through Iowa with snow blowing across the road. Parts of 20 in Illinois can be something else too, throw in hilly terrain in the Galena area for added thrills. Special note: If I ever come into substantial money, my first choice for where to live would be the Galena territory in the Northwest corner of Illinois. About as close to heaven as you can get without dying first.
Here in the Chicago area the storm mostly concentrated its efforts on freezing rain and sleet, plus the wind and cold.

For the first day of SPRING, it is 32 with sun and clouds, and a fresh blanket (14 in) of snow (on top of the 6 we still had!)

First day of spring, cold and windy. The high-- not very. Right now it's 18F, and refusing to get much warmer today. But, it is sunny at the moment.
