CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, I'm sure.We had a high of 36 here with lower wind chills; it was a rude awakening after 60-70
Kind of like our cold front with several inches of snow last week-end! (which I had to refrain from telling folks I was actually happy about!)Does cold weather bother you much, Gail? I've never heard you complain much about it like some of my other northern friends. Everyone hears my "heat complaints" about Texas summers!

The ice is the worst....we lost power for weeks last year after the big ice storm, and there is just no way to navigate it safely when it is that intense a storm.Humidity is a high second; that affects my asthma...thank God for AC's
I couldn't live without the 4 seasons ....and we do complain plenty

Yes, going without power for any length of time would be really awful.
Humidity can get bad here in Dallas too and I really hate it. I grew up in west Texas where the air was MUCH drier and that's what I was accustomed to.

Clear, and cold this morning. 33 right now, going up to the low 50s today.
Thank God, the winds moderated. Handling a tall vehicle in high winds isn't much fun. (It's one of those preposterously huge Sprinter vans, required for business purposes.)
