We're having a small snow storm here, but it is very small so far. We can always expect a late freeze here, and we got it.

Snow, wind and cold. It makes for "fun" driving.

I'm back from my trip of this morning. Same trip every Saturday, load up in Elk Grove, then unload in Barrington, Libertyville and Lake Forest before returning home. It means I get the benefits of "Lake Effect" snow too.

It was *70* here today and sunny

BUT...cooler temps and rain coming...snow is avoiding us for now
We have gotten up to a FOOT as late as MAY some years

It's 33 degrees and the trailing edge of the snowstorm is departing.

Right now would be a really bad time to build an impenetrable snow fort. I can think of nothing with a shorter expected life span. It's supposed to get to the mid 50s and sunny by early this week.

We have a winter wonderland of about 8 inches of snow in our yard! Truly remarkable for Dallas, Texas this late in the season! Sun appears to be peeking out now, however.

I am waiting for the lake to open up; any day now
The snow has melted except for a few deep drifts in the back woods.
The black bears will be out of hibernation in the next couple of weeks

Yes, we do get snow here in Dallas but it is exceedlingly rare for us to get THIS amount this late in the season. In fact, usually when we get snow, it is just about an inch or even less.
