  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, today our weather is................ :frozen2:

^_^ Just seeing if you're paying attention. No, it is :hot: as usual with a bit of cloudiness. Would be nice to see some rain. It is actually a few degrees cooler than normal today. ( We may top out around 94 Fº instead of 98º.)

:D You had me worried there for a minute, and YES, I'm paying attention. Snow and ice in your neck of the woods right now would be headline news.

By the way, it was cooler here today - 91F with a heat index of only 95F. We have the parkas and mittens on standby.

LOL i wouldn't mind being a popsicle right about now ^_^

it's suffocatingly hot at 92 F but with the heat index it's like 100 F at 11:52pm...and when i was walking home from work at 10:265pm, i could feel the heat still radiating up from the sidewalks and buildings...it felt like an oven....

but hey, i saw a big, golden, full moon on the way home....made me do this ---> :)

Dive officer, bring us up to periscope depth, let's have a look around.

84 degrees, partly cloudy, flood warnings. The Tri-State Tollway was flooded at 22nd Street, Rte 290 was closed between St Charles Road and York Road. It took almost two hours longer to get home today than usual, most of that time spent on the Tri-State.

Tell the rain-dancer to turn it off, already.
