I guess it comes as little surprise to anyone that I am still describing the Texas weather as

it was 98 F this morning...with the heat iondex, that would be over 100 F

We finally had a nice day. clouds, but no rain. 74F now and no humidity

Still waaaaaay too hot. But at least we don't have it near as bad as our neighbors to the south (Phoenix, Yuma, etc.)!

We got some really nice rain very early this morning, and it cooled things down. In fact, it was perfect - just what we needed, and I love smelling the cleaned fresh air. It's currently 79F here and we have a small chance of more rain tonight and tomorrow. I give thanks, and I know that the farmers and ranchers give thanks.

Hot, hot, hot.....Was 105 yesterday.

Yep, that's even hotter than we have been. We've been flirting with 100 on several days. Thankfuly,it is rainy today. We really need the rain. It was getting very dry and if it didn't break, we would probably on watering restrictions.

I am praying about those storms developing in the gulf, however.
