What's the weather like where you are? (10)

It is still reaching in the 80s F in this area of southern California. It has been yet warmer than this through summer here, but I had expected even hotter days, and it didn't happen in this area this year. There is next year still to be concerned for. There is expectation in the forecast that the highs will yet reach into the 90s F in the early days of October, like many days of summer here.

Is that going to drag out fire season out there?

Is that going to drag out fire season out there?

I do not know what is coming, with it warming at the start of October.

Late August brought wild weather across southern California. Lightning storms caused several fires, including the Caughlin Fire in San Bernardino County.

Fortunately, firefighters were able to contain the three-acre fire quickly in the Baldy Mesa area, but they say it had the potential to grow at least triple that size. The fire did not damage any homes or structures.

It wasn't just lightning. Some areas also saw a lot of rain. Storms came down from Los Angeles to Orange and San Bernardino counties.

All of this came with extreme heat southern California was dealing with.

Northern California has been having much worse of these things.

The more updated weather forecast I check no longer shows the weather here reaching into the 90s F in the early days of October, it will just be reaching 89°F a few days.
