What's the longest amount of time you have spent playing?

When Half-Life 2 came out, my apartment-mate and I started playing at midnight (the moment of release, as the game was front-loaded online) and didn't stop until we had completed the game. I'm not sure how long that took, but it was at least ten hours. We would yell at each other from across the apartment about how awesome the part we were playing through was.

I think I spent about 8 hours last night playing Vampire Bloodlines, and another 5 hours today (and not done yet )

I've spent a few sessions of 20-26 hours on games when I was in my teens & early 20s. I think I've spent more time in long-term sessions on Final Fantasy VI (3 in the US) when it was new. I still love that game... I oughtta break it out again sometime...

I own a PC and a 360 and I don't actually play that much. However reading through a games mag the other day i came across an article that talked about "marathon" sessions on a console. One guy spent 24 hrs on his x-box to see if he could do it. He played online for a large % of that time, but did it...

My longest time in one sitting is only about 4-5hrs (pro evo soccer).

What's yours and what game(s) did you play?

I think the longest time I ever spent playing a game was 8 hours and the game was "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker" for Game Cube. Other games I've been known to play for hours on end are: Guild Wars (PC), Dragon Quest VIII (PS2), Mario Baseball (PS2), Star Wars: KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords (PC) and Final Fantasy X and X-2 for PS2.

Back on the original Playstation console, when the original Gauntlet came out in one of those "arcades greatest hits" packages, my friends and I went nuts reliving our youth. To us it was a monster marathon playing for just 6 hours. One of my friends thumb was as flat as pancake from all the button mashing.
