I'm all for confessions of faith, both good confessions and bad. It's better to know what you're getting into then sitting in church for a few months to find out your Elders teach and believe false doctrine.

I have had the misfortune of sitting in a church and having the pastor preach stuff that just curled my toenails. He didn't once pick up the bible while he rattled on about the evils of speaking out against sexual sins. he preached that the church should open its doors to these sins, endorse them and allow them to take place in the church. He even had a cross dressing party for the teens! My husband and I were pretty upset by this. We ended up leaving that denomination.
