is this thread not dead yet? I think we've clearly established the technological AND moral superiority of Firefox, so enough said :)

But, it's not an indefinite infinite thing. Something else could sneak up and take over Firefox's position.

there's still some weirdness in khtml that i would like to see worked out, but except for the loops one would have to jump to run it on Windows, I'd say it'd have a good chance.

I also like Epiphany, but it's more just a stripped down ui for Mozilla;
However, isn't Avant just an improved UI for Internet Explorer?

Yeah the only pb to me with Konqueror is the HTML rendering engine indeed... Apart from that, I consider it the greatest multi-protocol browser ever.
As for Epiphany, I'm not a "gnome guy", since I don't see why I would buy a colour screen only to get grey windows... (well in addition to many features KDE provides).

If you're a safe-surfer and don't go to "bad" sites,you should be safe from any attacks while using Avant Browser.Provided you use anti-virus,firewall,spyware blocker,and have the latest updates from Windows.:p

Avant is NOT a browser. It's merely an IE plugin...

Firefox is the best.

I just started using Firefox, already impressed. The only thing that sucks is that whenever I get an e-mail through MSN Messenger I cannot set it to open in Firefox. Also, the Rich-Text Editor for Hotmail doesn't work with Firefox.

Of course, if you really want to check out different browsers, evolt would be a good place to start.

It misses a lot of the best browsers though ... Where are Konqueror and Epiphany for example ?

If you are a safe-surfer, you don't use Windows and don't need an anti-virus or a spyware blocker...
