I would like a cape for winter, I saw some at Farmers but they were only for little girls.
When I got to the adults section, all the clothes were hideous and black. Farmers must think by the time you reach adulthood, its time to start dressing like a widow.

I saw these blue knitted capes that looked cute they are shoulder capes. You wear them over dresses and they look warm. I think they have hoodies in them as well.

But I'm not 14 and under.

If I had some wool I might see if I can knit one myself.

Another thing I'd like to make is a dress like the one Liesel wears in the Sound of Music.

This is after I have finished knitting this baby jacket I started about 4 years ago.

Anzac day so shops closed today, at least this morning. I have some items to donate to sallies.

with my reduced budget, I hope to have a week where I don't need to buy anything.

but I still need things like
soapnuts
basket for toilet paper rolls - or do people just leave them in their plastic bags. one of our toilet doesn't have a cupboard. I thought there would special roll holders but the shops don't seem to sell any. Where do people stash them?

Just need soapnuts now.
But can you use ordinary soap to wash clothes? Have a whole lot of reject bars mum got from work just sitting there. They were taking up space in the cupboard where the toilet paper belongs. Or i could use body wash for smalls i suppose.

Oh shoot completely forgot the soapnuts. I need to get them from a special organic store and was out that way but forgot. It will have to wait to next week.

I was at this huge home improvement store that just opened last year, its so big that you need a map to find your way around it. It just has so much stuff. But i didnt buy anything just checking prices and stock. I think i could use a rainwater barrel but they are so expensive plus it doesnt include the guttering. A good size one that new costs $2677.

was given birthday money and I don't need any new things so I suppose I can buy church library books with it?

Its strange to go to a mall and look but see nothing and have nothing on my list either.

! Now received a refund for the butterfly poncho that never got delivered. Honestly some of those courier companies are sus. They said they left a card, but I never received one. And I'm sure I was home that morning.
It took MONTHS for the store to arrange this. This was back in Feb!

Anyway. I'm not sure I trust this online shopping thing anymore. People just expect you to give them money without even seeing the goods. How about you order something and only when you receive it do you pay them?

Okay...I give up. What are soapnuts and why buy them over normal laundry detergent which you can get at any store? Do you have skin allergies?

And if you have to make a special trip to a special store, maybe you ought to buy the soapnuts online and have them delivered to you.

My shopping list last night included a new wood baseball bat for my son since his broke at his last game and a watch he needs for EMT school. I also bought food for his lunches for a week and made sure I had food for my lunch box for my Sunday night shift.

Soapnuts are for the laundry. I will go to the store to get them as not really trusting online delivery anymore.

Google is your friend. Soapnuts are nuts from the soapnut tree and are natural, ie, they can clean laundry and dont kill the fish. Cos the water from all the detergent is toxic if it goes in the drain that goes out to sea you know. Also you dont need to rinse with soapnuts and its gentle on your hands.

Hooray have now bought the soapnuts. That should last me another year.

I got the christian bookstore catalogue in the mail. I am going to ask them if they give discounts to church librarians who buy in bulk. Hope so.

Also this morning my butterfly poncho arrived!!! AFTER I got the refund.

Now I don't know what to do with it. I tried it on and its a bit big. It might look better on someone else.
