  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think it was because I was complaining about my chocolate cravings.
What about dark chocolate? From what I have read anything above 75% cacao/cocoa is healthy enough to be beneficial.... anything under 75% is just junkfood.

Dark chocolate tastes better anyway....... except with it comes to PB cups.... then there just arent enough calorie allowances in the world to allow enough of those. IF only God had made celery, carrots or broccoli taste like PB Cups.

Im still sad that He didnt make them taste like chicken at least..... everything else seems to....

I bet I could have a little sugar free pudding......and just substitute the milk.

@Toro , we only have milk chocolate and some sugar free pudding. I will try to pick up some dark chocolate later (though I really dislike dark chocolate).

The darker the chocolate, the more sustainable it is. A lot of Keto dieters make chocolate desserts using like stevia or monk fruit sweetener. They masterfully making breads, pastas, batters, crust, sweetrolls, pudding, etc with no sugar and carbs. Takes some work but the are worth it.

I am definitely going to do this. I am going to order some almond flour since a lot of recipes call for it. I finally broke down and had a little bit of greek yogurt. I am not a fan of greek yogurt or yogurt in general but I mixed it with a little bit of cream cheese and that made it tolerable. Funny thing, the yogurt taste sweet.....like...really sweet when it used to taste more sour to me. I guess that is proof that you can reprogram your taste buds. ALSO I just learned about something called shirataki noodles. If they aren't that expensive then I'll be buying some.

Made some salsa the old fashioned way yesterday, using a stone mortar and pestle (Molcajete). Also used some Roma tomatoes and chilies harvested from the garden; turned out quite well.

I love rainy days. On days like today i can go out and enjoy the sights and smells while staying dry on the porch. Thank you Lord for a rainy day!
I'm so jealous! But happy for you.

Friend: Geez, Steph...why do you sound mean and bitter anymore? You used to be rainbows and sunshine, like, ALL the time...like, even the music you listen to now is depressing. What happened?
Me: . . .
People have used and abused me to the point where I no longer care.
Me: . . .So many hopes and dreams shattered due to little to no encouragement.
Me: . . .Low self-esteem and even lower self-confidence.
Me: . . .Feeling like everyone and everything is against me due to bad anxiety and paranoia.
Me: I dunno...hormones, maybe? Or not enough chocolate....

And yet...once I get to work, I have perfected the professional smile and cheery attitude. Go figure.

It doesn't. It depresses me that you're unhappy and have nothing to look forward after this life is over.

Ah, that's sweet to hear.

This is as good as it gets when it comes to chocolate.

They have sugar free hersheys chocolates/reeses at drug stores but they contain sugar substitutes that may cause a laxative like effect and are very easy to overeat. So it's better to make chocolate treats yourself and use sugar substitutes that don't cause digestion issues. Stevia is the best when it comes to that but isn't the easy to bake with.

Good afternoon!

Today is Alpha's 2nd birthday (as well as the 2nd birthday of Snacanids in general)!

This also means that Samus has now been my favorite character for two years. That's crazy! Only one other character lasted that long.

These were the very first drawings I made of Samus and Alpha (and Snacanids):

As you can see I've made some changes to the way I draw them since then. Originally I was going to give female Snacanids whiskers and have Snacanids' fangs visible at all times, but changed my mind after the first drawing.

A very creative OC design.

Who was your other favorite character?

Thank you! ^-^

The other favorite character who lasted that long was Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog. It was the first time he was my favorite character and also the first time I had a favorite character, so it was quite a while ago. I've had 14 favorite characters now; 11 of them were my favorite once, two of them twice, and one of them three times.

He was my favorite for about three years that first time, so Samus still has some ways to go if she wants to beat him.
