  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Precepts. The women are wonderful. They love the Lord and they're deeply committed to study and growth. If you don't have a group in your area don't fret. They have some online and new ones are formed. I've taken them in person.

Kay Arthur is good. Look for the teachings from Wayne Barber. He studied with a Greek scholar (the best) and has a great sense of humor. Laughter is God's medicine. You'll learn a lot and be entertained.

It can be hard fitting in. I don't have a perfect life like many people who share my viewpoints. But I don't fit in w/ the usual outcasts either b/c I disagree w/ their beliefs.

Being pro life is going to get you in trouble at least with some people. I think people that are more of this world than with god. It's going to make you fee lisolated.

Mentioning you're a Christian, that alone can trigger some people.

I didn't even mean it from just a political sense. I mean other outcasts tend to be the crowd that smokes pot all day, gets tattoos all over their body, etc. Even just plays video games all day. & that's just not me

Outcasts come in all forms. That's one segment. They're are many who don't do those things. Heck, I've only dated one person with a tattoo and he did 2 tours in Afghanistan. Who am I to say he couldn't have it? He's the lone person. The rest are clean cut and none have piercings.
