  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I wish my actual face reflected that endearing label more accurately. .... But unfortunately as you heard from me recently it's turned out a lot more difficult than I had initially thought getting rid of the blasted hair on my face.

Speaking of, if I may ask, I am going back to Texarkana at that nice place full of elegant decor and fashionably-dressed ladies for my second of six initial laser treatments, at this time next week. Please pray that it goes better than it seemed to the first time, results-wise (it seemed all that was accomplished the first time was a burnt smell that hung about me for the next few hours and a face that was unusually sensitive to the sun's rays for a few days. )

Actually, I wonder if a phone's weather alarm can be customized as to what sound or music it plays when it goes off. After all, the sleep alarm can. Hmm ....

Bella, I just know you would have gotten along well with this particular crowd of ladies were you there. The first people they reminded me of when I first met them were Dolly Parton, Sally Field, Olympia Dukakis, and Daryl Hannah as they all appeared together in the beauty shop scenes from Steel Magnolias.

Forgive me, ladies, but I must eat something for dinner right quick and scoot off to bed. Work is at 5 in the morning, but thankfully, this is that point in the schedule as it repeats every 4 weeks to where, once I am out at 5pm tomorrow, I have an entire 96 hours off. ^-^ Just gotta make it one more day.

Here's one thing I learned this week though:

Factor in the cost of a hotel room when repairs require a shop stay. It's the cost of parts, labor, and the room.

At least you don't gotta spend gas money though. This is where an ebike comes in handy.

Of course, you could just camp out as well. I wouldve if I didn't have work and other obligations.
