  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, you used to be able to add all sorts of gadgets and gizmos to your profile and have gifs beneath your avatar and stuff, but now, they're basically redundant besides 'repping' people and sending them nice little notes that you can't reply to.

I think they're still a big thing in other sub-forums like Friendship Court (by the way, is that pizza thread still running over there? I'm going to take a look...)

Do you remember that spate where the anonymous blessing feature was being abused? I'm not proud of it, but I think I was partially (or perhaps more than partially) responsible for getting it removed. At first my anonymous messages were kind of malicious, but pretty soon I was just sending riddles to people with various quantities of blessings; by then the damage was done and others were using it to troll. I attempted to make amends by making an anonymous blesser account which I would bomb people with compliments/well wishes, and, of course, lots of blessings. RayofSun also had the login info and used it sometimes, too. I don't think anyone (aside from staff) knew I was behind it. Fun times.

Guitar great Eddie Van Halen passed away yesterday at the age of 65.
This is what he chose to be the album cover for one of his band's records years ago.
Pretty dispicable, huh?

He died from complications of throat cancer. In case anyone would like someone to put two and two together, God says we will reap what we sow, more than we sow, and later than we sow. He is not mocked. If poor Eddie didn't repent, good riddance.

God added to the profile of who my future wife will be. The prophet, last night at work, told me what kind of clothes he saw her wearing in a vision. Apparently, she's a dress type woman. What an odd word. Lol

On this night last year, I was in Amsterdam during one of the worst rain showers I have ever seen. I was out with an Aussie girl who had drunk three pints to every ONE of mine and skipped across the streets like a gazelle whilst I got ambushed by tram bells and bicycles.

I only remembered because she just this minute messaged to remind me that it's my birthday next Tuesday. Believe it or not, but I actually DO forget my own birthdays. (Friends of mine know this LOL).

Won't be getting wet this year, that's for sure. I doubt I'll even be able to get a table at my local restaurant.
