to assure corona's not the only thing closing in, go ahead and doc yourself and tell where you're located.Just heard there is a case in my county in my state.. it's closing in on me.
I still find it SO mind blowing how there are adults alive now that never experienced life before the millennium. Us 90's kids may be old now, but look at what all of you 20 year olds missed! You'll never know what the the 1999 hype was like, you'll never understand how awesome new years eve that year was.
You missed the solar eclipse, you missed Toy Story, Lion King and Jungle Book at the cinema, you missed WWF when The Rock was a bad guy (he was better as a bad guy), you missed the excitement of the first text messages when mobile phones were just that, you missed the days of awesome bands on the radio, you missed the days of having to actually TELEPHONE your crush on your parents landline and then racking up an enormous bill and blaming it on your sibling, you missed basically everything.
I can't imagine what it must be like to be born literally in the iPhone generation. A life AFTER the internet. I mean, sure we had the internet, but it wasn't cool or interesting yet.
I'm only 29, yet I'm starting to feel ancient.
I remember people used to make fun of me for using the internet when I was a kid. Hard to believe I've been using google since I was 8 years old.

When you have no idea who Billy Eyelash is.
When you're old enough to remember when phones were used for making phone calls.
I remember plugging a Dreamcast into a television the size of Alnitak to get dial up internet. The monitor wobbled and everything - I was trying to send an Email, but gave up because it took 15 minutes to load.
"This internet thing is a complete white elephant" - ReesePiece 1999.
Billy Goulash is a mystery to me *shrugs*
I remember when I was 8 trying to search where I could watch the Rugrats movie on google via the internet.. sadly I never could find a place. Lol.
RealOne (or RealNetwork - I can't remember) was about all we had. I used to pirate a lot of VHS tapes that way.
My time online was very minimal to be fair.
I had Juno dial up.
While high speed is nice.. you really appreciated every page that finished loading. Now refreshing this forum for instance is like nothing.
I think the high speed just fuels the addiction. It's gone from an enjoyment factor to a NEED factor.
The best thing that could happen to society is a month without internet. Learn to paint, learn the guitar, dust off the ol' vinyl, etc. It'd be a good learning experience for the millennials.
During that same month, send me to Woodstock and The Summer of Love. Or even back to the 50's.
Yeah.. sometimes I think the newer generations need to toughen up. Most of human history has been pretty horrid, and we can't always count technology and luxury being there.
Please, may I ask for everyone's prayers that I get to Houston safely tomorrow and that God allows me to do just well enough Saturday on the test I have to take yet again as part of immigration requirements, that I will again have just enough chance to be selected and invited to move to Ontario soon.
