  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

On my way home from work, another driver failed to stop at a stop street and I drove into the side of them. Thankfully both of us were OK, just rather shaken, but neither car was driveable.

So I had 12 years of driving with no incidents but then two years ago my car was stolen, and now this. I am insured, so everything will get sorted out eventually, but it's the inconvenience while that process happens.

Today is the 4th "anniversary" of my Dad's passing. It has been so different without him. It seems like a long time ago one day and just yesterday the next.

I've just had one of colleagues be surprised to learn that I recently turned 40. She thought I wasn't quite that old, so I'll take that as a compliment.

Random favorite character stuff ahead!

I don't think Samus is my favorite character anymore. She sure was for a long time, though, almost 34 months! She even beat Tails for being my favorite character the longest at one time. Usually I'm a little sad when I get a new favorite character because it means I'll have to leave stuff unfinished from the previous character. But this time, aside from never getting around to the epilogue, I actually already finished everything. A change in my favorite character and some new ideas are welcome to me this time.

Who's my next favorite? Well, I'm not 100% sure yet, but I think it might be Silver from the Sonic series (I'll have to wait a little bit and see). He was my favorite once before, for three months back in 2010. If he becomes my favorite, then I can finally continue "The Silver and Web Series" which I was working on back then but had to quit after episode 15, at an eventful part! That series' episodes are all illustrated, but if anyone's interested in seeing them I can type them up as well.
