Oh? May I ask who just out of curiosity? If it does not violate a sense of privacy, of course.
Alright, MarkSB just gave me permission to share that he is the CFer I met up with several years ago.
Online stuff like css, html, java, etc. We haven’t really gotten deep into anything yet. But it should be interesting.
I did finally get the software set up. It just wasn’t working on my laptop, so I installed it on my desktop computer instead.
Because it’s hard to install? This is why software development and system administration are different disciplines.
It looks a bit familiar to me so far just from using the internet over the years. I took the class both because it should be easy, and because I know I’ll learn some new things.Ah, cool. My sister did a webdev boot camp that covered most of those. She's trying to break into web development.
I learned a little html and css years ago, and occasionally build sites at work. Most involve Drupal or WordPress these days, but it isn't my main job. The thought has crossed my mind about going in that direction, but I'm already too involved with other projects.
Just had a serious scare over here. I noticed a stray acting strange and appearing very sick. It didn't run away like a stray normally would, seemed to be getting aggressive as I got closer, and was displaying other weird symptoms. I was convinced it had Rabies, and ended up calling Animal Control and 911 (since Animal Control didn't seem all that interested at the time, probably because of how late it was). Eventually an officer did arrive, but there wasn't much he could do. He continued trying to reach Animal Control to get a mouser to check it out, and even offered to help try and catch the cat. Finally, after being given an eta of between 1 to 3 hours, the mouser showed up only a few minutes later.
I was concerned because Rabies is extremely rare in our area, and I didn't want it to start spreading; I did some quick research, and noticed the cat exhibiting signs similar to the virus. However, it turns out it just had a cold, haha - cat's get it much worse than humans, apparently.
I think that's enough excitement for one night... Here are some photos of the stray cat involved, btw:

Thanks, yeah a couple other neighbors and I are somewhat proactive regarding strays in the neighborhood. However, I was mainly afraid of a Rabies outbreak in my area, and wanted to address it as quickly as possible. Getting bit by a rabid animal or having pets nearby also getting infected wouldn't be a good situation for us to be in, lol.It was good of you to show this much care for a stray animal.
That sounds so scary! I'm glad to hear that everything ended up okay.Just had a serious scare over here. I noticed a stray acting strange and appearing very sick.
