The Normans were from Normandy, France.

When they invaded, there were some Vikings as well.

Took a look around the place after being gone for a week and, no roaches living or dead as far as I can tell, so hopefully that is a good sign, and my suspicions that all of those hellspawn i found in the bathroom really were just the result of a very long time of unuse and whoever was responsible for cleaning up the entire place after the last tenant moved out (or perhaps more likely died, considering the evidence) bailed on their work.

With God's blessing it will remain that way.

.... Also went ahead and hung up a few wallscrolls, so already the place feels a bit more at home like i surmised that it would last week when i failed to bring them and instead used up all of the time just to clean the place up.

Here's the hallway where there's a neat little light on the wall, and the closed door leading to the "creepy" bedroom where thus far i really do not feel compelled to have much to do with except storage, so the door is going to pretty much stay closed. The wallscroll of Rayearth will do nicely here, though. It's a 90's OVA about three girls Hikaru Umi, and Fuu who are best friends and fearful of parting ways after graduation from school. On the night before they are destined to be separated, all of Tokyo becomes desolate of humanity but themselves and as though it is frozen in time. At this time a wizard named Cleff from another world called Cephiro (who had used his magic to place the humans of Tokyo in a safe place) comes to the three girls and warns them of an imminent invasion of Earth from the other inhabitants of Cephiro who have come to make the Earth their new home at the expense of the human race, after a ritual gone terribly wrong ruined their own planet. As if by divine fate, along the lines of the Mortal Kombat universe's rules, the three heroines are given the chance to fight back and protect Earth against the otherworldly invaders using the deities of fire, water, and wind.



After revisiting the Rayearth OVA just a couple of years ago with the guys from RPGMag on movie night, it turns out it isn't as great as I remembered from my early 20's. It's definitely got some plot holes and other problems you can make fun of. But at least the artwork is phenomenal, the story is at least cool in concept, and seeing as it at least isn't bad as in actually offensive to my sensibilities like a lot of anime is, I can still consider myself something of a fan.

In any event, this scroll is cool.

Watching an episode they did on "Men's Rights".. saying they're toxic and just blame women for everything.. not that feminism isn't the reverse of that.. they even interviewed Karen Straughen. Most likely a heavily edited interview.. but at least it looked like she shut up that masochistic feminist for at least one second of her life.

lol there was a medical resident who had a silvester stalone accent hahahah, it was so cool, it made everything he says sound so epic!
