I was driving home from work. After staring at a screen all day, my eyes just weren't ready to be scanning the road. The road is VERY curvy & all houses along it, & I've biked on that road before, & a curvy road can be dangerous w/ bikers or walkers. I was driving a little slower than what is the norm but nothing worth getting a car full of 'the finger' in response. It's just dumb teenagers. It almost ways is. Someday they'll learn maybe, but there's a lot of adults who are still immature too.I'm genuinely sorry to hear about your experience. I hope you're doing well despite it all! Driving can indeed be a source of anxiety for many people. I think they forget that we're operating large, potentially dangerous machines, and mishandling them can have serious consequences. Often, it's a matter of perception and impatience rather than a personal attack on you.
I would offer that you don't take it too personally, even if you were doing something that others perceived as wrong. How people respond is a reflection of their own inner state. I recently watched a video about squeezing oranges, and the message was something like this: "When you squeeze an orange, what comes out? Orange juice. Why not apple juice? Because that's not what's inside of an orange. Similarly, when you 'squeeze' people, what comes out is whatever is inside them."
People may try to justify their actions by saying, "I reacted this way because that person did that!" or "They made me act that way!" But in reality, their reaction stems from their own inner state. So, when someone gives you the middle finger, it think it's more than likely that it has little to do with your actions, and it's more about them reacting to being squeezed. Whether you did the squeezing or not, what comes out of them isn't your doing. The reasons for their behaviors are probably very diverse, but it's highly improbable that you're the one who placed those emotions inside them, ya know?

Yeah! It wasn't bad at all! I remember towards the end of it, I was starting to get anxious, but then it was done!Hahaha! I understand. It's super amusing when it feels like your face is drooping or swollen, but you can't really feel it. Trying to drink out of a straw and you're not sure if your mouth is actually closed or not.Sounds like it went well and you had a great time!

It's always better to err on the side of caution! I believe you made the right choice. The speed limit is typically intended to indicate the maximum speed allowed rather than a mandatory speed. That's my understanding of it, though I do acknowledge that there are regulations regarding how slow you can go in some cases. Unfortunately, most people tend to view speed limits as a required speed rather than a maximum limit, despite the name... I'm sorry to hear that you experienced this situation, nonetheless. I was going slower yesterday, yes, but there's been LOTS of times where I've been going the speed limit exact; sometimes they tailgate so I go way over - and they STILL pass illegally, over the double yellow stripe. My point: it doesn't matter what speed you go: people will pass you when they're not supposed to if they want.
I felt pretty upset when I got home. I really didn't feel like doing anything. Even something like that is just.....you just see so much wrong in it. Maybe if I hadn't got a full car of 'the fingers', I'd have been fine, but it hurt.

You're always welcome to buy me gifts. Preferably expensive ones.Lately, I've found myself increasingly compelled to get gifts on behalf of others, even though it's not my business to do so. At the time, it feels like a great idea. I'm thinking, "This would bring joy to them, and everyone's happiness will multiply!" Random warm and fuzzy feelings. However, as time passes, I start questioning it, wondering if I should seek permission before taking any action and then feeling strange about it. In the moment, I'm so focused on everyone being happy that I forget that it's not my place. Only after I've got the gift and sit with it for a while do I go 'this is weird...'.
Currently, I'm sitting in church, awaiting a meeting, with a bouquet of flowers and chocolates intended for someone else's girlfriend. I saw them at the grocery store and thought, "You know... She'd REALLY love that. Just randomly receive flowers and chocolates for no reason. I think that would make her very happy, and then he would be happy too because she's happy!" But it's not my place to get gifts on his behalf. "Hey, I bought this for your girlfriend. Give them to her from you." What? What am I doing...? What if he misunderstands my intentions? I just want to see her happy, which would make him happy, and I'd be happy for both of them. Yet, it still feels like it's not my place to do it. So, I'm caught in this internal struggle, going between thinking it's not a big deal and feeling like I should immediately throw the flowers and chocolates in the parking lot and forget about it.
Edit: I have yet to give the other gifts to the people I've deemed to be the giver, so this will be the test of whether or not it is received well, but I'm nervous that I'm going to offend someone.

It's not easy, but you may cut such people out of your inner circle in order to protect yourself.
