  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A starting level job in the realm of my degree from school, as a lab tech in the agriculture department of the University of Arkansas, seemed ideal for me. I mean, I enjoyed my agricultural classes in school,. even the crops class to a small degree. So this job combines what I already am experienced in with what I learned in school, at least as far as the job description seemed to me.

.... One problem. It pays ridiculously little. It's almost insulting, quite frankly. Like, so little that if you had a family of four you would have to live like the Bundys from Married With Children. As much as I was interested in it, this just won't do. I must decline. .... But, one good thing that has come of it is that I can search for jobs like this in the future, now that I know they are even a thing. ^-^
