  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I take it while I was gone last weekend Tracie Dee had to leave us due to becoming a married woman. A pity, but hopefully she will be even happier where she is now.

Watching old clips of Xplay on YouTube.. was one of my favorite shows as a kid.. pretty much a precursor to the Angry Video Game Nerd and YouTube video culture.

One thing I kind of forgot.. James Rolfe was innovative, although I do wonder how much he was inspired by channels like G4/TechTV. Xplay did a lot of similar funny skits regarding video games and consoles.

Yeah, just saying Xplay kind of had that going for them years before James and Doug. Wouldn't say they focused too much on anger, but they were certainly more comedy driven than many game reviewers of the era. They also had a very Nostalgia Critic like feel when they interreacted with their interns.

Did you watch Xplay as a kid? Or did they not have that in Canada? Lol.

My apartment constantly runs 10-15 degrees warmer than it is outside. It'll be gorgeous outside in the 60s and hit 80 in the evening inside. Not sure why this is happening. Even the AC struggles to keep it cool in here on the warmer days.

Funny really, James Rolfe is a pretty nice guy in real life. Although watching him now, he doesn't seem as angry as I remembered.. guess he was shocking back then.. but tame now.

I've been a big fan of TheAmazingAtheist.. he could get very angry.. then age mellowed him out quite a bit.

Oh, no, it was just the price they gave me when my trial ran out. I had no idea it'd be that much. And it actually wasn't that easy to find a much cheaper on. I did, though. A wordperfect version from 2011. I am not big on a lot of fancy features so I am sure it will do me just fine.

Even 50 dollars though seems way too much for something so simple as just making words on a computer, you know?

I was watching old episodes of Married With Children a little while ago while job searching and notived that I had always found the actor Ted McGinley - who famously played the lazy but suave trophy husband on that show, Mr. Darcy - to be quite amusing.

Without looking it up I imagine the man must be in his 60's by now, at least as he looked in a recent PureFlix film called Christmas With a Capital C. In which we more, shall we say, politically-involved Christians clearly use the film industry to claim persecution nearly equal to those who actually die just for being believers out there on the other side of the world, just because some wussy atheist liberals prefer to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" and don't mind the removal of a red-and-green color motif on the coffee cups at Starbucks. Which kind of makes Christians look like wusses in our own right for making movies about 80%-imagined persecutions, honestly, but I digress.

But of course, as a fellow believer I am certainly happy to see that Ted McGinley himself claims Jesus Christ. And so I thought this article I found when I was wondering more about his background might be worth sharing.

super excited about seeing G tomorrow night... feels like forever... Tomorrow night will be the thing that moves us forward as in if we will date each other. But I am 90% certain it will. I am so buzzed about him... and he made me a Harry Potter meme hahahaha a sure way to a girl heart
