I was TRYING to portray what stubbornness looked like, MOJO. "not changing my mind" = stubbornnessThanks. It's been our tradition since I was little, and now we're keeping it going with the next generation.
My health? What's that?
What is this, a competition? Because if it was, you'd lose.

Actually "not changing my mind" technically = "closed mindedness"

And with, I'm outta here.
This sounds like a wonderful tradition. I hope that you can continue this for years beyond. Spending time with family is a beautiful thing, even in all of its messiness. Especially when it involves a good meal. It's my parents wedding anniversary, and our tradition is to set the house up like a restaurant. I run the kitchen, and my nephews are my wait staff.
I love this! I've been doing the same over the years, changing my mindset. I usually get chocolates for my mom and step dad. Valentine's for coworkers or a treat. Last year I did a heart in the snow and also some really pretty decor in my house. This year I plan to make some kind of pink drink for my coworkers and possibly a cherry tomato and mozzarella skewer hors d'oeuvre.OMM: I kind of want to do something for Valentines day like how I used to in my early childhood. I remember we used to cut out hearts and write sweet notes for family. I think I used to have a lot of fond memories from that time in my life. I may need to look up Pinterest ideas or something. I say who needs romance on Valentine's day when you can just appreciate everyone who you already love and cherish in your life!
It's like a warm fuzzy feeling to see a heart waiting for you.
have to agree 100% and I want to give a special thank you to @SarahsKnight and @Somber for their consistency and dedication to spread love around.
Besides, you say it is I and Somber who keep the love going? ( Well, you are right about @Somber, of course ^-^ ) When you are the one always out and doing things for your neighbors. You adhere perhaps the closest to Jesus' teachings on that front out of any of us, Sampa. Definitely myself, at least. This sounds like a wonderful tradition. Here is a photo of a decoration I created this year. There are fairy lights behind it so it lights up the room at night. It's a nice warm winter decoration.View attachment 311606

(I'm sick, so I have the day off and was waaaaayyyy up past my bedtime last night!)OMM: I got a personal message from somebody here on the forums thanking me for the likes because it makes them happy to see notifications when they check in. I have to agree 100% and I want to give a special thank you to @SarahsKnight and @Somber for their consistency and dedication to spread love around. I know there are others but I also like all the friendlies that have been sent. It's like a warm fuzzy feeling to see a heart waiting for you. @shineyourlight , thanks for your humor and much of the conversation that you've been igniting lately. It's so good to check in here and see the engagement that is happening. I wish I could be more engaged, but sometimes I'm a little bit sleepy. Right now I just woke up but hopefully we'll fall back asleep. I have to get up at 4:30 a.m. for work.
