hello people
Hello, Darkness, my old friend...
Potential is not guaranteed. I said I love what I saw. Future hall of fame talent is meaningless IF he is always on IR.Bro...you have a potential future hall-of-famer lined up to play QB for you for years to come and a decent defense to back him up. Hopping from one QB to the next is how not to be successful in the NFL. Watson is your ride-or-die at this point, and I would take him any day of the week. Elite QB's are hard to come by.
Hey, I watched a lot of House. I know exactly what's up. Either lupus or a parasite alien from another world.

I'm not willing to put all my hopes on a man that is yet unproven. Yes he has talent, yes he has potential, BUT there is no guarantee that he heals up the same. You may be comfortable putting all your eggs in one baskrt, but given there have been MANY rookie QBS that looked amazing year one and fell flat in the following seasons.... adding an unknown factor like ACL injury to a mobile QB..... ever heard of RG3?
Unfortunately we don't have a choice but to put all our eggs in the basket that is Watson... but yes, if I had an early draft pick I'd still go QB in the first. Two great starting QBS would be a dream situation for any coach. Use them as needed and when it's time you get a lot in trade for the lesser. If one is good the other bad.... fine that's the draft for ya.
It beats resting on one man with unknowns such as healing properly, will he be the same? Will he reinjure it... etc. And find the team exactly where it is now, so much potential but all of it on IR
Sounds like you have one of those parasites from Alien about to burst through.
Hey now, I went to school with RG3... and this Bear is ready to stick up for her own (even if I know nothing about football.. He was nice...)Potential is not guaranteed. I said I love what I saw. Future hall of fame talent is meaningless IF he is always on IR.

Nothing against the man himself my friend. He was expected to be amazing, but his career was anything but is all I was sayin.Hey now, I went to school with RG3... and this Bear is ready to stick up for her own (even if I know nothing about football.. He was nice...)
I know they aren't the same, it was to illustrate my point. There are plenty of failed QBs, both mobile and pocket passers that were expected to be great. As I said, I LOVED what I saw from him.... but its his rookie season. When opposing teams have a ton of game film to study and he still schools them I will rest easy. When he heals and finishes a full season, I will be comfortable with calling our QB woes to be over. Til then, I don't trust the idea of a less mobile QB behind the Texans O-line. Without mobility he will be hit a lot...... if fragile (yet to be seen) he will break a lot. The truth is, the Texans window is closing fast if not already closed.... Im not willing to blindly rest on Watson alone IF I had the option for a high draft QB.Deshaun Watson and RG3 are not the same lol. I see what you're saying, but Watson can throw the ball. RG3 couldn't. RG3 also was very undersized and didn't know how to avoid taking hits. And Watson is not a running back. Even if his knee wasn't exactly the same, pocket passers still thrive in the NFL, and for the sake of longevity in his career they would prefer that he was more of a pocket passer anyway. But he tore his other ACL in college and then came back the next year to beat Alabama in the national championship. A lot of great QB's have had season-ending injuries. It happened to Brady and Manning both, and they both won Super Bowls after those injuries.
Watson proved that he can compete in the NFL. He took a team that was not very good and made them a playoff team almost instantly. You never know what to expect when you draft a QB, especially when you play him right away. You landed on a gem with Watson, and you are a lot more likely to get production out of him over the next several years than you will with some rookie QB you know nothing about coming out of next year's draft.
Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me. Thankfully the pain wasn't strong today. I had a lot of physical work to do today. I just had a small stinging pain in the back of my neck. I suspect it could be a pinched nerve that is causing these pains. I just want to find out what's causing these pains so they can fix it and I can finally enjoy life again.
But...Manning is the GOAT.Nothing against the man himself my friend. He was expected to be amazing, but his career was anything but is all I was sayin.

I know that he tore his other ACL in college and bounced back, but coming back from one is hard enough..... two.... even it being opposing sides, is possible to much. It may not be, but its an unknown.
I also see what you're saying.....and that anything can happen. All I was saying is Watsons durability/recovery is now a concern being we have zero options..... I wish that we had a high pick to take some of the eggs out of that basket is all.... if Watson returns to form and is proven durable I have no complaints..... yes his potential belongs in the NFL, but not all live up to that potential, he played 7 impressive games for a rookie, but lack of game film could play a part in it, his legs play a part in it. You take 2/3 of those advantages away..... who does he become?
I was rough on people claiming Manning the G.O.A.T. or people crowning their rookie QB after one season so I have to scrutinize my own QBs the same, I can't act as if they are the best just cause I like what I see so far. To me he has shown promise, but hasn't proven the answer til he achieves a full season at least.
