Applied for a student loan. 2 year programming course at an IT college starting here in September. My seat's guranteed and loans should go through no problem.

Big move for me... I prayed and prayed about it and this *seems* to be the answer. I've had an interest in programming since I was a young teen and used to mess around with scripting and the like. I went to an orientation at the college a week ago and it seems like a great program.

I'm excited but nervous heh. I really hope this pans out.
Congrats. That seems like a good plan and step forward :)

I don't know why I thought I'd be able to play a game on the day of its release. Servers have been down all day haha.

I haven't got it yet. I'm just playing World of Warships. Saving credits for my next ship unlock.

I'm going to need your address by the way. I invaded England on Civ6 for killing one of my scouts. I want to know where to do a direct nuke st...I mean where to avoid striking.

Thanks guys/gals and thanks especially for your prayers.
Good luck!

What language(s) are you looking at getting in to?
I went to an orientation for the program and they said they're going to start out teaching Python in the first year, but by the end of it we'll be working with and comfortable with a couple others like Basic and one of the C languages.

I'm going to get a leg up on it all and self-teach myself the basics during the next few months. I've already written a few simple programs and compiled them in C++ but I'm going to make the switch learning wise and use Python. Looking at code examples online and it actually looks simpler anyway.

Cool. Python is really popular nowadays and widely used.

If that's the case, mine should be long gone by now. At this point I'm probably operating on the level of a jellyfish.
But lions need rest most of all! You're the king (well, queen) of the jungle!

Woke up and thought it was a normal work day. Popped out of bed, and despite hours of sleep still felt completely mentally worn out. Then it hit me...

Praise! It is Saturday!!

I won't admit publicly that I cried, teared up, or smiled so hard my cheeks ache. But let's just say I was "moved".

Happy SATURDAY!

It amazes me how a devoted Christian man is seeking a Christian woman, but if they are not thin then it's definitely not worth his time.

I have decided the flesh sucks, and men suck. >.<

My ex-girlfriend was overweight and I still found her beautiful. I'm not exactly the poster boy for Mr Universe either so I am in no position to make cosmetic demands of anyone.

Yep. Women want me to be over 6 feet tall, have six pack abs, wear no glasses, and have the charisma of Brad Pitt. I pretty much quit the dating game because it was yet another standard I failed to reach. At least God likes me just the way I am instead of demanding that I change myself to accommodate the world's shallow standards.

Oh, of course it does. Women are just as bad. Which is why I have never understood the whole value of physical appearance. Maybe it is just difficult for me to understand because I believe the heart, especially a relationship with God, is more important and beautiful. The outer beauty ages; our inner beauty doesn't.

You know, it's strange. There was this guy who was really into me; even thought I was beautiful despite my weight, and yet after we met up he said that we didn't really have much of a connection. I still think it was because of something else, but just goes to show you if its not God's will then it won't work.
