Does it have anything to do with anxiety by chance? 'Cause in my family, most of us have certain things we cannot do because of anxiety. My mother cannot be in a public place alone, my sister cannot run into a store and grab a flyer and I have a hard time being the first to send people PM's, e-mails, phone calls and letters.

Making a prototype.. It's two 2'x2' sheets of 3/4" MDF clamped and glued together using urethane resin. Then also two smaller chunks I glued on when the piece was in my CNC router and I estimated where to put them/size them. Machined the entire mess down holding the dust collector hose as the dust collector shoe won't work with the thick stock--import quality but it was cheap machine wise.. After profiling I coated it in urethane resin and the porous toilet paper with glue (MDF) soaks it up--making a hard surface. Two coats and it's being reprofiled again..... half day to save $400 on the Renshape foam. Eh yeah. The internet is useful--without it I'd never be working at home or know how to do any of this stuff lol...

That is an interesting one anxiety wise... I guess for me I innately loath doing events on my own and that constrains some parts of my life down a little.

I'm perfectly fine with going to events alone. It baffles my mother and sister that I can go to restaurants, movie theaters, and carnivals on my own. Heck, at the bar I could sit right up at the bar counter. There is no way my family members could do any of that.

Partly, maybe...

I'm quite all or nothing when it comes to emails, etc. When I pull the trigger, I really let it rip. I'm (ironically) a very good communicator through the written word. I just can't deal out half measures, so I just end up saying nothing at all. Because in this day and age, time just doesn't allow for a 19 page dissertation.

I do enjoy the fight of it. I was the captain of my high school and college debate teams, took speech classes and all of that. I enjoy a good discussion, but they aren't even discussions anymore. Every political discussion I've in since 2016 has disintegrated into insults and declaring who is the most racist. There is no substance to it anymore and 'fake news' has really integrated our system. Even so-called 'legitimate' news sources have too much bias now to be taken credibly anymore, and I mean that on the right and the left.

Every political discussion I've in since 2016 has disintegrated into insults and declaring who is the most racist. There is no substance to it anymore and 'fake news' has really integrated our system. Even so-called 'legitimate' news sources have too much bias now to be taken credibly anymore, and I mean that on the right and the left.

People these days care more about being 'right' than actually pointing out the nation's problems and suggesting ways to fix them. The news is especially bad because now there's now no telling what is truth or lies anymore. Instead of supporting facts, they are now supporting agendas.

In the Book of Romans, God did say that He would hand us over to reprobate minds. I personally think we are currently seeing the rapid decline of human civilization.

That's one of the reasons I no longer watch or read the news along with the fact it's 90% about the bad things going on in the world.
