  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You know what's awesome? Jesus dying on the cross to save souls. Why is this awesome? It means that even if it meant saving only one person, Jesus would have still done it. That one person could have been me, you, or anyone who wants to know that there is one person out there who cares enough about them.

Its so awesome meditating on all the Lord has done.If it hadnt been for Jesus where would we be?

Most likely with lives even more hopeless and miserable than they can already be, Nicole, if not already deceased. With nothing awaiting us but the blackest of rooms in death at the end. But how fortunate that we now have a hope of a new life somewhere, sometime beyond that end thanks to this Jesus we speak of, and one that will be perfect and happy with no end this time, as we so greatly desire now. But alas, the fulfillment of that desire for a perfect and never-ending must wait for now. In the present, both the believer and the unbeliever suffer alike, but can also be blessed alike. :)

Upon completion of my last post i look up to see some movie I had never heard of or would normally care anything about starting up on HBO. Called Neighbors 2.

....

I should not have ever actually laughed at this film, but I did, and a part of me now feels dirty for even paying scant attention to the movie all this time as I continued to browse the Internet. But even so, I willingly admit how utterly charming I find Chloe Moretz as an actress whenever she is onscreen, even when she is filming a sorority promo video wielding a fake wooden sword and dressed in a Joan of Arc costume that looks like it was constructed to better suit a third grader school play than any kind of credible promotion for a sorority. And groaning and cursing about "old people and their stupid land phones" half the movie. God bless you, Chloe. ^-^

And with all that, yes even the more depressing post I made to Lady Sunshine about death and misery being inevitable for all human beings a while ago (forgive me; it is difficult to not sound emo sometimes ever since reevaluating my beliefs a few years ago about the meaning of life, death, and human mortality and the soul ^-^ ), I bid you all good night. Sleep well, and dream happier dreams of your best, most fantastically delightful imaginations this night.

That was a rhetorical question actually, but you are so right. I love the way you worded things as well.

Anyone had wisdom teeth surgically removed? :/
I had one done. I have another that needs to be done, but it's not in pain or anything, so it can wait.

What was the experience like?

I've got 2 to be removed. One's beginning to break through the skin and becoming a bit painful.

Did you go under local anesthetic, or get an IV drip.. ?

Did it take long to heal?

I've had it done. You look like a chipmunk for several days afterwards. Soft food is highly recommended.

Not gonna lie, it really, really sucked. They put me to sleep to actually remove it, so I didn't feel them remove it, but afterwards when I woke up the pain was pretty intense. Don't remember how long it lasted, maybe a week roughly? Little less? I don't remember.

You do not want to get dry socket. Look it up and look up how to avoid it. I never had it myself but I know people who have and they said the pain is horrible... so I'd take it seriously when they warn you about it.

Well, they shot numbing stuff into the gum. But it was difficult because the tooth was really deteriorated. Usually it should be a quick yank and it's done, but she had to keep yanking and it broke apart. Wasn't a nightmare situation, but it sucked. I then demanded to be given the gas, which was nice. So, if your tooth is in good shape, it's usually really quick.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed a few yrs ago,The first two it was no problem since
I was put to sleep, but the second two I was just given novacaine and it hurt so bad I was lying on the couch
moaning in pain for nearly a week, plus there was a piece of bone that needed removing so that was even more pain.
