  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Jalapenos poppers using an air fryer.
And a power drill. And yes it works.
And yeah. I do stupid things that occasionally work
And finally yes. My voice. Umm. Figures.

You know what's awesome? Jesus dying on the cross to save souls. Why is this awesome? It means that even if it meant saving only one person, Jesus would have still done it. That one person could have been me, you, or anyone who wants to know that there is one person out there who cares enough about them.

I dare Wayholka to take steps out of his comfort zone to tell people about it. : )

Sharing the gospel doesn't come easy for many people... a lot of times it's actually really hard, for many of us. But it gets easier the more you do it I've found, and God provides opportunities that are easier at times.

It all doesn't happen with a snap, but nor does it mean it's not your calling, because I believe we're all called to do it.

Trust me, I can't even convinced a five year old with a bag of candy.

Ah, but it's not about convincing. We're just told to present it - in any way that we feel, in any type of way, etc. If they get angry, they get angry, if they react positively, they react positively, if they want to know more and you see an opening for further discussion, then great.

Present and the rest is up to them. A lot of the times it's just seed-planting... meaning we say something that perhaps they'll reflect on later or even a couple months down the road, years, etc. that God will remind them of it.

Like right now, my intention is not really to convince you, just try to plant a seed that maybe you'll remember later on ;) Iz sneaky like cheetah.

Dairy Queen's giving away free small ice cream cones today 'cause it's the first day of Spring. (Except for mall locations, no free icecreamz there)

:sohappy:

Also, except for likely Texas as well. Our Dairy Queen is different than the rest of the world's.

On my way back from Chattanooga, TN where I was born, to Houston. A 13-hour journey i no longer seem to ever have the youthful energy to navigate all in the space of one day, anymore, it seems. It just seems odd to me that the first time I ever attempted a long trip by myself, one day back at 18 years old, I remember making the entire, usually 10-hour trip from where I lived in southern Arkansas to Chattanooga or vice versa all by myself with just one stop for fuel and a quick phone call the whole way, and in less than 9 hours no less, as i simply seemed to have the drive to just make it home that quickly and with as few stops as humanly possible. Now, at the present, I take no issue with making a trip like the current one in two days instead of one, even if it means the added cost of a hotel room.

But for those of you that ever need to make a trip that involves coming through Hattiesburg, Mississippi, might I recommend Candlewood Inn as your stopping point if you so feel obliged by that point? I have become rather accustomed to such a quaint and friendly place as my resting designation the last couple of times I have had to make this same trip from Houston to Chattanooga and back. ^-^ Be cautioned, however, that the pleasant atmosphere does come at a fairly high price ... around 115 dollars.

Also, I just stepped out of the hotel shower and pushed back my hair in the mirror to find a rather voluminous streak of blood across the left temple. Still ... not sure where that came from. Or when it could even have occurred.

My hermit aunt has been committed to a hospital for evaluation. My cousin is reporting to my mother about her showing signs of delusions and paranoia. My aunt has been known to the family for having a few loose screws for years now and we all thought she was faking it all this time. Now... It's starting to look like she genuinely has mental problems. We're suspecting paranoid schizophrenia but it's not official yet.

Pray for my aunt.
