CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Watching the Walking Dead. Haven't watched the show since 2014. Didn't even finish the season finale, I was like.. this show sucks.
Since I'm sick and have nothing better to do, I'm gonna watch the next few seasons that are on Netflix.

Maggie is still hot. Glenn is still strangely appealing for being an Asian character. Rick's son is still suffering from Peter Brady syndrome. Seems like all the bland mid-2010s memories are back.

Isn't it just awesome when a fellow believer implies or outright says that you aren't really saved in some way or another? Says you have the spirit of the prince of this world? That you are a stranger to God? That you are on the side of lies and against truth?

Someone said this to me just now, that I follow the spirit of the world and am estranged from God. And things like this have been said before between believers, many a time. I am just musing how sad it is, and how foolish we must look before the world when we condemn each other.

Maybe instead of feeling hurt by their words (since you and God both know the truth in this matter), I would ask why they said that and what their view is. Don't fall into the trap of political correctness of this world. I would also try and discern where their measure of faith lies. Some Christians are new while others are still getting the milk even after so many years (my church I grew up in for example). Ask God to discern this and to speak through you. Trust in Him and no one else.
Remember that we will all be judged for what we say to one another. Words are a thing God sincerely tells us to be wise with. It is even more wise if we are not given words to speak, to not speak them at all.

Out of curiosity what are you doing to these people for them to say such things. If one persons say what you say they are saying I would blow it off but if many people are saying it I would find out why. Are you too competitive at work?

We are called to exhort one another in Christ and we are always to do so from love. Exhortation is not condemnation.
I can't say what the motives of that particular individual were, but rather than be offended I would at least try to look within myself and see if they had a reason for what they had said and ask God to reveal His truth.

Our faith is most definitely something that affects other believers. God can use it to help strengthen others and so we must be sure ours is strong as well should we be called to help a brother or sister in Christ.
We are all many members of one body and we do not operate in a vacuum. We work together for the greater good of the Church to glorify Christ. Another believer's faith is something one should take very seriously.

I hear what you're saying, but the important thing in Will's case today, is to not take on board someone's ignorant opinion. It's like saying he's not a fan of Dr Pepper when he knows full well thay he salivates at the mere sight of it.
What I'm saying is, in this case and this case alone, the only thing SK should do is preserve a quiet confidence and move on from it. He shouldn't have to explain himself.
Otherwise yes, I'm with you. Hebrews 11 is one of my favourite verses for that reason.
