"all are welcome" sign in the front, but openly tells me they don't want me coming to services until a "reconciliation process" ensues. I'm like wt heck... but they're my home church and no other church I feel connected with. I feel fiercely loyal to my home one...even with their stupid need for a "process" to ensue.

oh trust me, I've quoted scripture to them already, not that exact one but yeah. They're being wishy washy with scripture it seems, I came back saying I repent, and they should have forgiven me. 7 times 70 they should have forgiven me. I mean, it wasn't even them that I offended with my past actions! Ridiculous.
Thank you. I love them though, is the issue. Like deeply, like a lot. But I suppose this might be God's way of redirecting me to a new church... what you and Toro are saying makes sense. They should have been the first ones to welcome me with open arms when I got out of jail.Prayers.
That isn't a church then, but a social gathering for their "elect". My dad and I left our church from the same circumstances. Remember the parable of the Prodigal Son? That's how Jesus is with His children who rebel and come back realizing they can't get by on their own. That's how the church should be, too.

I hear ya. The concept's so foreign to me though lol I'm just like "they don't...get...love?You are spot on with what scripture says. They are the ones that truly aren't "there" yet and don't seem to "get it" yet. I used to be one of those types until God knew the very day I'd be ready and opened my eyes to really see what's going on in this world and within my own self. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're bad people, they just don't ... "get it" yet. Know what I mean?
