Okay... It's just it's the same concept as the OT sacrifices. Type and anti-type. The promise and the fulfillment, what came before, what comes after. In the OT they shed animal blood for forgiveness. Christ shed His own blood to forgive sins.

I always think of it as like the passover we are the door frame and he is blood (lamb) over us .

Because the passover was about defeating death and jesus says we will defeat death because of his blood on the cross

Sorry to hear your not engaged. .... am probably in some people worse nightmare at the moment but I know it will all work out (ex partner) my faith is still up and down sadly glad you are doing good

Today at work, I saw a customer with a Super Mario Bros shirt on and I told him that his shirt was awesome. The next 5-10 minutes that ensued were amazing...we talked about old Nintendo systems, Mario Bros, and Legend of Zelda. It was the best part of my day and made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
