Funny how family can always manage to make you feel pathetic isn't it?

Any wonder why I avoid family gatherings?

Spend free time making movies instead of sitting on the couch watching people do stuff on TV and doing nothing Is it making any money yet? No, but they've won awards. Oh, well isn't that nice?.

Nice! That's probably my agenda for today as well.

I hope your Christmas decorating goes well. We have some things up now but we are brain storming on how we want to decorate the outside of the house. It will be simple and low key...just trying to figure out exactly what we want.

Those awards are no joke. Peter Jackson (LOTR) broke into the business cause his friend sent the movie they made together to an indie festival and they won an award.

Thanks, yeah we have put a few of them in local and non local festivals (I think the furthest we have gotten them out is Kentucky ATM). Three of them have won and more of them were in the runnings. The weakness of the movies are really what anyone at a non hollywood level runs into.... budget and learning the process. We get better at every movie we do in every aspect of the making process. IMO

Im honestly not in it for money or dreams of fame..... its a lot of hard work but it IS my friends dream to make movies so I fill in whatever work needs to be done to get it done, behind the scenes, acting (My acting is bad, especially if I have to project my voice because Im not mic'ed up for the scene and have to be clear and loud enough for the boom mic to pic it up.) or anything else that needs doing to get it done. Thats why I do it. If it leads to fame and fortune some day, fine. If not, whatever. Im just not going to make it that much harder for a friend to chase after their dream. If he doesn't achieve his dream, it wont be because I didn't do my part as a friend to help.

We have come across more than a couple people that wanted to put in some real money (One of them being for 200k), problem is, when the idea of putting money into a movie needs action and is less about "Im gonna finance a movie how cool am I?" blah blah blah...... suddenly they forget their wallets. At which point we just walk away...... why deal with people that are all talk?

Get burned and just keep movin on.

Just means IF we make it big....... we didn't have to beg anyone for anything. Everyone needs help to reach the top, doesn't mean you have to beg to get it.

It's why the actors we work with now are pretty much all the same. After dealing with a TON of professional "my crap don't stink" stuck on themselves actors, you just wanna stick with the ones you know are less likely to become a problem.

I went all healthy and grilled some pork chops and made quinoa. Eating clean isn't as bad as some people think. I really needed to get back on my diet after all the Thanksgiving food and candy.

We don't have snow all year 'round though >.> But we do have one HUGE tree that is quite mythical indeed, and is centered in the middle of Canadia.
