Well, it was hard work as always, but, with the current weather there was probably no more opportune day to rake the leaves out of my mother's yard. You sort of grasp the few straws of mild temperature that come your way in Houston. I will be grateful some year or so from now to be much farther north where extreme, cockroach-infested heat will surely be unheard of.
... And now, to kick back and enjoy the fruits of my labor earlier today.

I remember Texas being hotter than Hades so it is hard for me to imagine having to rake leaves. Good for you for taking care of your Mom's leaf issue. Enjoy your rest.

Tried to go to sleep too early and woke up after 2 hours. I'd like to complain about it but my coffee tastes too good for that. First coffee after waking up, no matter what hour, is the best!

It's taking forever they want it in APA format, am using the university software endnotes but it doesn't plug them in correctly so am having to go over everything.

I had some odd jobs here and there, but nothing steady. The next year my mom got diverticulitis and spent a few days in the hospital, and the year after that it was drama season, so... Hopefully this year goes better.

My friends suggested I use Crunchyroll. I haven't tried it yet.

Now that I've mentioned tacos, Toro should be here any minute now.

I've checked out new anime very few times since I got out of school years ago, but Crunchyroll seemed like the place to go for it.

I don't know; I am a fan of the art style, a lot of the kind of vocal music sung in Japanese, and I have a few treasured anime series from my childhood like Magic Knight Rayearth and Ruin Explorers, but, ever since I turned about 20, it seemed like nearly every new anime I looked into just really creeped me out or got on my nerves for various reasons. I guess it's just me changing.

Actually I think that pretty much explains why I was such an avid fan as a teenager, back when I first discovered it. It seemed like such an underground kind of culture at the time that I guess it gave me a sense of being a rebel by knowing of it and watching it that much. Very few people my age talked about it at school and stuff, and VHS tapes for 60 minutes worth of 90's anime would only be available on a small shelf in front of the register at an EB store for twenty or twenty-five dollars, it seemed. Of course, it also helped that it was a commercial on TV featuring the big-eyed, curvaceous cast of Sailor Moon in mini-skirts throwing magic tiaras and love arrows at Evil that got me started, in my wild, hormonal 12 year-old mind.

Nah, I'm good; it was unusually mild and pleasant weather for Houston, as I said, which is precious so at least I didn't have to worry about the heat being a difficulty. Just the hurting spine from kneeling and bagging leaves so often, and avoiding canine remains as I worked about the designated half of the yard for my mother's obnoxious mutt to use as her bathroom.
