CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Back a few months ago I rescued a cat that was starving to death; she came up while I was working on a roofing project at my relatives' place and looked like she was skin and bones she was so thin, so I couldn't just leave her there. So we took her in... she has such good manners and reminds me of our old cat who died earlier this year. Well some months later she is much healthier and surprised us by giving birth to a litter of calico kittens; two of the kittens didn't make it unfortunately, but the other two are very healthy. Well, surprisingly, the other day my little sister found an abandoned kitten alongside a road while visiting a place and they took it in and were giving it replacement milk until they could get back. Well they brought it back home and the mama cat that I rescued right away took him in! I am so thrilled! She is treating it like one of her own kittens!

I remember someone telling here about them getting their account voluntarily banned, does anyone know how's that done? I can lock an account using home-made methods, but then I would lose it for good, so something little less brutal would be nice

Hmm, addiction is a bit strong word.
That's how I always do with internet forums, I go in, spam and read posts like a maniac for few weeks, then leave for half a year and possibly repeat the pattern later.
After the "manic episode", it's good to get some kickstart for getting out, like a temporary ban.
