I do not know how to tag on facebook either. But then, I never use facebook so....

The truth is, I don't care what my friends are eating tonight. I don't care if they are standing in line for the new iphone...... I don't care. Why would I feel that they would care about such pointless little things in my life?

Facebook is brilliant in that it feeds peoples one true love............. self.

Sadly, I think facebook needs to be terminated for the good of humanity. People are self centered enough as it is.

I know it wont happen, but.... a world without facebook would be better than a world without guns IMO.

I've been up and down, missing my faith...then I go back to an atheistic/agnostic view. Then, I miss my faith. This roller coaster ride began last year around the time my grandmother became ill, and then this year, she passed away. That said, I have felt this week, that I miss my prayer life, and Jesus in my life, even. It's hard to explain. I haven't really ''talked'' to Jesus, or prayed in a Christian way, in a few years. I deconverted from Christianity about 4 years ago, but deconversion wasn't an easy thing for me. So, what to do with all of these feelings? I think I will see where they lead me, instead of pretending I'm not having them.

I'd like to change my 'faith' on here, and I don't see where there is an option to do that in our settings. ??

Faith isn't a straight line. If you go by feelings, it's a roller coaster. In many ways it's just like a human relationship.

Early in a relationship you're completely smitten with the other person, but also to some extent smitten with the idea of being in love. Early in a relationship with Jesus, you're on fire for Him.

Later you see flaws in your partner. Later you start wondering about God. Like why did God turn Lot's wife into a pillar of salt, isn't that pretty unethical? There are trials and questions.

There are times when you really can't stand your partner but you made a commitment to be with them anyway. There are times you rail against God, begin to hate God, but you made that commitment to follow.

How does the relationship survive? Communication. That goes for all relationships, I suspect.

The matter of belief is separate. Doubt is common to the human condition. On faith and belief I defer to Hebrews 11.

It sounds like you want to go forward and make a commitment.

I use Facebook for messaging and that's pretty much it. My wall is full of funny pictures or videos. Never: off to the movie, or waiting in line, or having a BM, etc.

I know there are people that DON'T just talk about that little stuff and all but for the most part FB generally is about promoting self. Myspace was the same before facebook, I only had that to keep in touch with my old friends that joined the military so I would know when they came back to town.

I know it has its uses, but when the majority use it for stupid reasons..... even if the core intent behind it was intelligent and useful. That thing becomes stupid and mind sucking because of the masses.

Look at the TV for example, it has shown all sorts of historical, interesting events that expanded imaginations and intellect.

Now, its nothing but mind numbing, drool inducing stupidity of "reality TV" and other such garbage. While there are still shows with facts still out there. The truth is, intellect has been forced out pretty much completely by the masses. Even the History channel is more garbage based than about learning. Talking about aliens and all other forms of garbage instead of focusing on facts.

Those things are the realization of a clown nightmare after a bad LSD trip brought into our world.

I can deal with a purple dinosaur with down syndrome a lot easier than those spawns of Satan.

OMM: Family picture day is canceled.

No hour and a half drive for Toro today only to get there and be quized about life, work, the complexities of a crush I cant exactly pursue and many other things I don't want to talk about with my family.

Of course, it just means I will have to be quizzed in a month from now or so.... but..... a lot can change in a month. I will hopefully have a happier tale to tell by them.

I actually thought the telletubbies were cute when I was little. The sun with the baby face, the vacuum cleaner, Tinky-winky having a red purse-bag and wearing a skirt (which he did one time, but they all took turns wearing it, I remember), the pandemic of tubby toast and tubby custard, the brown rabbits that appeared to be the only other sentient life, the microphones that emerged out of the ground sometimes on the astro-turfed fields, the way the telletubbies would sometimes watch stuff on their tummies...it was all good.

Gosh, that all sounds like something out of an adult swim show, doesn't it?
