I never realized before that the hobbit and the other rankin/bass animations were done by a studio that merged into/became studio ghibli.

Really?!?!?!? I didn't know that either! I always thought how they drew golum was pretty creepy.

Same here. Amen to that. And I learned yesterday that it's only going to worse at work from here for a long while. More responsibility hanging over my head when there's already enough ways to screw up and everyone knows about it.

I wonder what would be the best way to get rid of this thing... Hose it down, maybe? Though it's in a pretty tough spot... Can't hose it down without getting close to it.

My friends' mom said she would wait until night then stick a trash bag over the beehive when they are all sleeping and throw it away so it wouldn't hurt any of the kids there. (Can't remember if there was anything else to her method.)
I am afraid I might be allergic to bees (never been stung) so I'd probably get someone else to deal with it.
I believe my family gets rid of yellow jacket nests by high pressure water from the hose. But they can get angry pretty easy.
I hate it that yellow jackets are attracted to my hair in the sun.
Good luck. I can't recommend any of the ideas I mentioned. But those are what I've heard others do.

That awkward moment when you're doing miscellaneous yard work, reaching down and pulling some weeds, when suddenly you see all these bees and wonder where they're all coming from. So you turn your head to the right and see a bees nest about twice the size of your head, just a few feet away from your face.

I tend to use a can of lacquer and a lighter or jet torch lighter for wasp nests.
Tends to work well. Or if you spray it with lacquer, then light it, and do the flamethrower routine. Okay. I was out of wasp killer and so I went with that
