  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

The answer is a simple one. They were boxed for so long because I've had to move twice since graduation. It's not how I wanted it or what I intended but it is what happened. I had intended to stay in the city I went to seminary in but the Lord had other plans. Thus the reason they were so long imprisoned. I've been living out of suit cases for the last three months alone. So finally being out of boxes is no small thing to me. You should free your books! If you really do not want them then take them to a bookshop willing to purchase used books.

Ah, I see. I lived out of a suitcase for about 2 weeks during my last move, so I know the feeling. I never thought I would be so happy to find a place to do laundry.

Hehe... my books, yeah - I should build a nice bookcase, if I ever find the time. I've got a cheap one, but its ugly and stays in the closet most of the time, as sort of a utility shelf. :D

Note to self: Remember to nominate @William67 for Most Interesting CFer in the World in the upcoming CF Singles Awards.

Oh. My. Gosh.

There was never a truer winner for such an award.

Don't ever buy an HP printer. Period.

Their old ones were good, their new ones have horrible software and don't work half of the time. (Or now, apparently, 100% of the time..)

I just want back my old HP 5500 Deskjet, stone-age printer with a wired connection. No fancy software or wireless setup, just hit print, and it prints... :sigh:

I think i eat at Subway too much lol. They have my order memorized down to the veggies lol

I eat frequently at Subway too. There is a shop right next to one of the dental offices I work in. I don't really like fast food at all, but I do like Subway.

I don't think it's very healthy.. :p

Considering Subway was accused of putting plastics in their bread, I'd tend to agree with you, haha. I like it because it is less greasy and lower fat (depending on the sub you order)

Like with most things, it comes down to what you get. You can eat healthy with McDonalds if you wanted to.

Yeah, Subway isn't healthy, but I will agree it's better than most real fast food joints. So if there's a Subway option I'd definitely opt for that instead of anything else.

The closest I come to any fast food is getting Chipotle. It's like homemade, sit-down restaurant quality food but you get it in like two minutes. Haha. :D And it's Mexican, and eating Mexican food at any time of the day and week is always good and acceptable. Lol.
