  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

If its only a problem when the AC is running, Id say radiator. Id make sure its full and clean.

Hope your pain killers help. I hate the pulled tooth feeling. Although a friend of mine ripped his tooth out with a pair of pliers one day after work cause the tooth was hurting so bad he chose the less painful option.

Yikes! I can't imagine pulling your own tooth out. I'm guessing though that the tooth was already fairly loose due to the infection. There is no way a person could stand the pain of pulling out a tooth that wasn't.

I have some out there friends. I don't believe it was loose.

I have another friend that tore his arm from its socket and ripped the cartilage from his shoulder. The only thing that kept his arm attached to his body was skin and muscle. He slammed his shoulder into a tree stump with all his body weight that caused the injury.

He calmly sat up, while his arm just hung there motionless..... he started punching the arm for its immobility. Didn't even say ouch.

Another friend I had as a kid had rebar go through his foot. He didn't even say ouch and walked home with the hole in his foot.

I've never run in circles where the guys were soft when it comes to pain. I don't believe I could do any of the above without voicing such displeasure with a barrage of cursing. However, I could deal with it after the initial outburst.

I've had a hook go through my foot, a large piece of glass embedded in my hand (would have gone through if not for striking bone), carpet tack ripping a chunk out of my knee and other things. I always let out not so nice words, but.. do not become incapacitated by the pain.

For me its pretty much, let out some obscenities, if its leaking...... cover it, duct tape it and move on.

Oddly, stubbing my toe will incapacitate me... go figure. lol

Haha, okay then. I guess your friends just have crazy high pain tolerance. I cringed reading your description of their injuries.

Yeah, the pain to rip out a tooth being temporary is probably a better option than a constantly painful tooth. After ripping it out he said he felt so much better.

Yeah, the guy that ripped out his tooth has been shot in the knee. Has taken a baseball bat to the head, kicks to the face etc. so the pain to rip out a tooth being temporary is probably a better option than a constantly painful tooth. After ripping it out he said he felt so much better.

He never thought to visit a dentist? :)

Poor guy, sounds like a rather traumatic life.

Well, he like me is stubborn and hates doctors/dentists.... etc.

Yes, he had a football career ahead of him til a stray bullet went through his knee. He is okay to walk, however it was never going to be in football shape again.

I thought my past was aggressive, bad choices and getting dirty til I met him.

One of the reasons he and I are friends is we both walked away from that other life. Also because he accepts it for what it is instead of blaming others or dwelling on what could have been if A hadn't lead to B to C....... Z.

I had a friend who would stick his tongue on a frozen pole then rip it off and try to spit blood on everyone.

I grew up in hardcore neighborhood right?

LOL I bit off my tongue as a child.... or so I am told.

I was sticking my tongue out while holding a rocking chair down. It slipped from my grip and slammed my jaw shut while my tongue was out. As I am told my tongue was hanging by a thread.

Luckily, it healed thanks to my dad staying up all night holding my tongue in place as he didn't want his son to grow up without a tongue.

My tongue is fully in tact today, but it does seem to have a slight scar. Thank God for dedicated dads and the Father for healing my tongue so I didnt have to grow up without.

I remember there was this crazy cat that would run around and bit and scratch baby's faces when their mothers were not looking.

I lived in a hardcore neighborhood.

I've seen things, man..

I was gonna go to bed early tonight.... but I ended up listening to music instead. I think it was worth it. ^_^
I wonder if there is much caffeine in tea because I had some today.

Depends on the tea, but yes there is caffeine in tea. I think black tea has the most and white has the least. Green being somewhere in the middle.

If I'm not mistaken, all tea (green, black, oolong, white) contains caffeine. Tisane is colloquially called tea, but doesn't necessarily contain caffeine unless it is a blend. I'm not sure if rooibos is classified as tea or not, and it doesn't contain caffeine.

However, I'm no expert.
