truggling with ocd--the obsessive, anxious thought kind--again. Need to sleep.

I heard that. Whenever I had that problem, sleep was the only release I sought, anything just to be able to not have to think. I dreaded having to wake back up the next morning and deal with being conscious (meaning at any time a bad thought could strike me). So I sympathize with you there, Vizier.

Am finding it really hard to stay motivated to do anything in life. Continued prayers for joy would be very much welcomed.

Will do, Miss Elizabeth. For what it's worth, from our conversations ever since you returned to CF, I feel you do quite a lot in your daily life that matters, that motivates other people towards goodness as well.

Today is a great day, I join the ranks of other unmarried 20-something women whose grandmothers pester them with the question "when are you going to get married?"

Some of the people I come across on this forum sometimes, are clearly very damaged members of the human race. It really is quite terrifying.

*No, it's no one in Singles...
Lately I posted a stupid funny picture and one man got so mad about nothing, he started to accuse me and the rest and I reacted immature and then I thought: No, no matter what he says I'll just say I'm sorry and if that picture offends him I just remove it. Later he pm'd me, first not so nice but then he said sorry and we talked it out and later I read somewhere else that he had brain damage. I was so glad I said sorry to him.

Bah! I never remove something that offends unless I am truly in the wrong.

IF someone gets that upset over something simple. Thats their problem, not mine. God did not make us to be highly offended beings. People become that way for different reasons, but most of it tends to be because they think they are better than everyone else (Take themselves far to seriously.) and shouldn't ever HAVE to be offended or inconvenienced in life.

God gave everyone free will, to do as they wish. Which along with that, comes with it the freedom to choose to be offended or not. Being upset, especially over words IS a choice that usually comes down to someone 'not agreeing with me".... which is why the person gets offended.

I accepted a long time ago that not everyone has to agree with me, God gave them the right and freedom to be wrong if they want to be. :D

I do not offend easy at all.

Now, if I do something that is legitimately in the wrong I will apologize and remove it from a post or apologize for what I said, depending on which format it takes place (On a forum or in person)

In general my humor is light hearted, so if someone offends that easy......... well to be perfectly honest, they need to toughen up and get a sense of humor and learn to laugh at themselves.

As for his injury, it can be a double edged sword. Its sad things like that happen. However, depending on how long ago it was. Handling someone with kid gloves can do more harm than good.

If someone is too protected from life they will not step out into what God has planned for them and grow stagnant and bitter. (Not to say this is the case with this person as I don't know them, their life or their story....... however.... I've always been more of a subscriber to tough love. There IS a time for tact and gentleness, but there is also a time for a swift kick in the......)

Today I had students hug me goodbye and one cry that I won't be their teacher next year... but I have only been subbing in this school for 2 weeks. LOL It's amazing and very sweet how quickly children attach to people.
I think everyone was just a little overtired and overemotional.
The end of any school year always makes me so sappy.:sorry:

Well, that must be a good sign of your success as a teacher who is also a friend to her students, right, Ray?

In other words, Messy, you were being peaceable and acting conscientous towards other people. And I personally believe that is one of the foremost ways we believers should be acting towards each other and our not-yet-believing neighbors. We'd all be so much better off if we tried harder to do that. And I'll be the first to admit that I myself have not always acted accordingly, even if I feel that I want to act peacebaly and maturely.

There are no men in my friendship circle, at least no men who are not friends by association and therefore attached to an actual friend in some romantic fashion. For some reason I feel like life would be a little more exciting with male friends, a little more grounded.

No. You may disagree with me, but there ARE times in life when the hammer of logic and common sense needs to flatten the nail of stupidity. Sometimes it's the best thing you can possibly do to help that person.

Maybe it's the ex-Londoner in me talking, but sometimes you've just got to speak up and tell that person how much of an idiot they are.

(Can I just say for the record, that I'm actually a nice person. Ha! Ha! I'm not always so miserable.)
