CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, this kind of sucks. I learned earlier tonight that I will not be seeing my little sister from Italy, Camilla, at all again this year like I had been eagerly anticipating ever since I moved to Houston last October. It turns out she is not able to come back to America for college starting this upcoming school year after all, in which she would have likely been coming to live here in Houston again. It will have to wait until the next year, in which I will likely already be gone. It is a shame. I will miss Camilla, ... even during the times she deliberately tried to annoy me by singing Taylor Swift songs whenever they came on the radio.

Well, not up to anything earth-shattering today...very happy for the flavoured coffee I'm drinking as I contemplate with horrified fascination all the work I've signed up for in my renovation-wracked house (hoping the coffee will energize me...
). In an hour I'll be showing up at work to provide child-care for an enthusiastic group of chiclets (kids) who move at warp-speed...I'm currently more in ambling mode. LOL Have a good rest of the day everyone!

Miss Deidre, forgive me, but, are you certain this is the right move, at least so seemingly soon? I mean, it's great if you both are breaking this off non-begrudgingly, as most couples do not seem to have the maturity to do that, but still, you seemed so happy with the engagement at first.

Wow, it seems odd that the gloves would give you a rash but it's good to hear that ice helped. Fingers are fragile, that is why you have to take care of them.
